Oke Foundation
We are an organisation of volunteers only, who are working in Kenya on the countryside, near the village of Sondu.
This is one of the poorest regions in Kenya in the south-west part of the country, where there is no tourism at all. The westborder is Lake Victoria, the southborder is Tanzania.
It is an agriculture area, but because of heavy rains and floods the harvest is sometimes ruined and the huts people live in are badly damaged.
The purpose of OKE Foundation is to help the people in Kenya to get a better life and a better future by a more honest dividing of prosperity.
In The Netherlands it's been done by collecting money to be able to sonsor the different projects. Volunteers also can go to Kenya and help the people while they are there.
Our logo is the white elefant.
It represents: Rare, Strong, Taking care, Perseverance and Peaceful.
